Sugiyama Kira (1910-1988) was a noted photographer of outdoor nudes. Preface by Kimura Ihei, Introduction by Kuwahara Kineo. This book is highly regarded by Japanese connoisseurs of the genre. The nonchalance of individuals or groups of nudes posing in the countryside was clearly still regarded as 'risqué' and on a separately printed sheet the publisher explained that six plates were taken out by the censorship office. The book clearly created a stir and upon its release many copies were confiscated. No copy in OCLC. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
