Miki Jun (1919-1992) was born in Okayama Prefecture. After graduating in economics from Keio University he worked as an apprentice to the designer Kamekura Yusaku and the photographer Domon Ken (1941-42). After the war he became a professional news photographer and in 1949 began working for Life magazine. He covered the Korean war of 1953 and in 1954 he went to America on behalf of the magazine. The present book covers his work for Life magazine up to 1957, when he became a freelance photographer. No copy in OCLC. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
