Photobook. One volume. First edition.
- Made in: Tokyo-to
Ishimoto's work on Ise is particularly interesting for restricting itself to black-and-white images of the shrine. This underlines the architectural purity of the place, imparting a sense of freshness and modernity. Ishimoto's angles are surprisingly different to Watanabe Yoshio's approach. (Titus Boeder, 4/07)
