Reason for treatment
Investigate corrosion products and remove
Dull matt appearance, with dark partches occuring at irregular intervals over the inner surface. Unknown white deposit in the grooves of the inscriptions. One small area of green corrosion on the rim of the bowl.
Swabbed over with White Spirit (composition variable - petroleum distillate.) White deposit and dark spots remained after cleaning.Green corrosion cleaned away mechanically with a scalpel.
