Reason for treatment
Clean to improve appearance. .
Surface dirty and dull. Evidence of chemical stripping in the past. Large areas of gilding are now missing. No rubies are missing.
Surface cleaned with swabs of 5% Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid pentasodium salt, TritonX100, in distilled water. Rinsed with swabs of distilled water. Left to air dry.
