    As pointed out by Professor Anthony Wall (email 29 April 2010) 'The Reading Gir'l of this image is taken from the drawing by Northcote (black pencil with stumpage and additional colours) entitled "La Liseuse", sold at the Hôtel Drouot, Paris, March 19, 1906, lot 46), 41 x
    29 cm.
