A rectangular machine-printed red cotton cloth, kanga, with floral motifs in black along the border, enclosing a central rectangular design of diagonal lines interspersed with circular chrysanthemum motifs. The cloth carries an inscription in Kiswahili just above the lower border which reads: AKIBA HAIOZI.

- kangas are printed and purchased in pairs, then cut into single cloths before wear. This example was made in China for sale to Swahili speakers in Muscat, Oman.
