A rectangular white cotton cloth with a repeating pattern of red floral motifs painted freehand and with the use of a stencil. The cloth was specially commissioned as part of a sequence illustrating the historical development of kanga design.

- This is an element in a series of designs commissioned by Nasra Hilal Mohammed and painted by Shaib Ali to illustrate the historical development of printed kanga design. This first design was printed in red and/or black and was known in Kiswahili as PINDO MKUMUTO meaning no, literally 'rough', borders.
