Cataloguer's Comment: Prior to being stored in albums Af,A48, Af,A49 and Af,A50, the loose photographs and postcards donated by Lady Menendez were kept in boxes and envelopes. Government launch, perhaps decorated for a regatta or Jubilee, as other ships in albums Af,A48-50. T Cotterill, 1/12/1996. Geography: Ethnic group and location suggested by T Cotterill, 23/10/1996. Circumstances: [MEN-] PIC DOC 12. The same ship is depicted in Af,A50.82-85. Biography: Green was a Nigerian photographer working in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century.
