Cataloguer's Comment: Perhaps "Jackdaw", as mentioned in the inscription, is the name of a boat. Prior to being stored in albums Af,A48, Af,A49 and Af,A50, the loose photographs and postcards donated by Lady Menendez were kept in boxes and envelopes. Geography: "Abokum" not identified in sources. Nigeria and Niger suggested by N F Barley, 16/10/1996. Circumstances: [MEN-] PIC DOC 12.
