Remove old lacquer, clean to remove tarnish and enhance legibility
Lacquered, tarnished, dirty.
Removed lacquer by cotton-wool swabbing with acetone. Cotton wool swabbed with Silvo to remove tarnish. Removed Silvo silver and chrome (cotton wadding,white spirit,Newburgh chalk,china clay) residues by cotton-wool swabbing with white spirit, then acetone.
