Reason for analysis
Sem/Eds Analysis Of Three Engraved Silver Plates With Inlaid Niello(1845,0825.13; 1845,0825.22; 1845,0825.59)
SEM images and compositional analysis were obtained for three objects of engraved silver plates with inlaid niello. Some areas of the niello have been lost and some cracks and scratches were observed in the niello. Compositional analyses showed that the niello comprises of silver, copper, lead and sulphur.
