Remove old lacquer. Clean to remove tarnish and improve legibility
Lacquered, tarnished, dirty.
Lacquer removal: Swabbed with acetone.Tarnish removal: Swabbed with sodium bicarbonate in distilled water paste, rinsed off by swabbing with distilled water, then swabbing with Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol, methanol), then swabbing with acetone.All swabs made of cotton wool.
