Satire on the Congress of Vienna: the allied monarchs (from left to right Francis I of Austria, Alexander I of Russia, Frederick William III of Prussia and Wellington representing Britain) sit round a table playing cards for the countries of Europe that serve as counters, while on the left Napoleon interrupts their game tapping Louis XVIII on the shoulder, offering to replace him at the table.
