Reason for treatment
Remove from fabric mount. Remove adhesive residues. Apply big number if neccessary.
Amulet was pinned to a fabric mount and old adhesive residues were located on the reverse. The surface was also quite grubby.
The amulet was removed from the mount by prising back the pins using a scalpel under magnification. The surface was cleaned with swabs of 70:30 IMS to distilled water swabs and this also softened the adhesive on the reverse. This was then mechanically removed under magnification using a scalpel.
