Reason for treatment
Clean. Realign and secure linen bandage. Consolidate sandy soil on linen surface from burial.
Dusty and dirty. Linen bandage torn and unravelling in many areas.
Dust removed using brush and vacuum suction. Linen bandage re-aligned and secured where possible using 20%(w/v)Klucel G (hydroxypropyl cellulose) in Industrial methylated spirits (ethanol,methanol) applied to small pieces of Japanese tissue (pre-tinted using Rowney's Cryla colours (acrylic)).
