Reason for treatment
Clean. Remove number from front of head and reapply to back.
There is surface dirt to the head. Repaint base to match exhibition colour. Registration number in ink on front of object.
The object was cleaned with a vacuum and soft brush, followed by Wishab - vulcanised latex foam sponge. The number on the front was partially removed with acetone on cotton wool swabs, a halo of the number remained. This was painted over with acrylic Cryla flow colour (Rowney) in distilled water. A new number was aplied to the back of the object in cryla acrylic paint.The base was painted with vinyl matt emulsion.
