Textile fragment; torn strip of undyed, medium quality linen cloth; edges are torn; lengthways folds/wrinkles; worn. The weave is plain and rather open, the weft varying in thickness and the threads are S-spun and S-spliced; the stitch gauge is warp c.22 ends per 10mm and weft c.12 picks per 10mm.
