Textile fragment; medium quality, undyed linen cloth; ragged; one plain selvedge, other edges being very torn or ragged; the warp is very much predominant. The weave is plain [warp-faced simple tabby] and the threads are S-spun and S-spliced; the stitch gauge is warp c.31ends per 10mm and weft c.8 picks per 10mm.
