Remove permanent marker pen marks from face of statue.
Vandalism on the sckhmet was reported by one of the museum's staff. Black permanent marker pen had been used to draw over the eyes and eyebrows of the sculpture.
The black marks were removed with Nitromors water soluble (methylene chloride, sodium hydroxide, cellulose). A small amount was applied on cotton wool swabs and left for at least 8 minutes with each application. The residues were removed with water Acetone (propan-1-one/dimethyl ketone)
