Reason for treatment
Remove make-up. Clean. Local consolidation.
General museum dirt/dust. In two pieces - joined - breakline filled at front with plaster of paris (gypsum). Some degradation of stone. Pigment vulnerable in places.Copper cramp.
Removal of limestone support: Hammer, chisel and scalpel. 60% of support removed. Removal of copper: Hammer, chisel and scalpel. Removed. Removal of plaster of paris on breakline: Hammer, chisel and scalpel. Recessed.
