Reason for treatment
Remove from frame. Surface clean, remove folds and creases. Prepare for storage in Melinex sleeve.
Inappropriately housed, glued to acidic cardboard - glazed frame - broken glass, crushed and over crowded, folded and creased. Surface dust and soiling, including glass splinters.
Remove from frame, surface clean. Humidify to ease folds and creases. Selected for mounting on padded board. Attached to board with conservation stitches using mono filament silk thread. Placed in an acid free box for long term storage.
