Visiting special exhibitions as a Member

At the moment booking is not essential, however, all of our special exhibitions can get a little busy from time to time. Weekends and school holidays are among the most popular times to visit. If the exhibition reaches capacity and you’re not on the guaranteed entry list, we may ask you to collect a ticket for entry at a later time on the same day. We are always happy to suggest some other displays in the Museum for you to visit while you wait.

Consider visiting during one of our out-of-hours opportunities (listed below), or on a weekday or a Friday night when exhibitions tend to be quieter. Although the last entry for ticket purchasers is 80 minutes before the exhibition closes, Members can enter the exhibition at any time until closing (17.30 daily, 20.20 on Fridays).
