Local archaeology for home educators

Ages 7-11 (Key Stage 2)

How do archaeologists find out what has happened in a particular area? Students will investigate how archaeologists use excavated artefacts and archive documents to help them unravel local mysteries. The session involves object handling, using objects from a British sample area to explore processes which can be applied more broadly.

Sessions last 60 minutes and have been designed specifically for home educated groups.

Maximum group: 32
A minimum of 10 students is required for each session to go ahead. If we do not recruit at least 10 we reserve the right to cancel the session. 2 weeks' notice will be given if this is the case.
