Back at school

Back at school the students used the information they gathered at the British Museum to develop activities for a Cultural Arts Day which was held at the school in July 2009.

The students planned for five activities based around African masks, African textiles, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese pottery and henna hand patterns.

What did the students think of their visit?

I think that the British Museum was lots of fun and the artefacts from around the world were very interesting. My favourite room was the Africa room. I really liked looking at everything in that room.

I think the British Museum was very good and interesting and my favourite rooms were the Indian and Chinese rooms. I liked seeing the different types of blue and white artefacts. I would like to go back.

I think that the British Museum is very interesting and it was really cool to see all the African, Indian and Chinese artefacts. I would definitely like to go there again.
