Families and children
At the British Museum we aim to help children and their grown-ups enjoy and appreciate our collection, both inside the Museum and on the website.
You can:
- Follow trails around the Museum collection
- Pick up backpacks full of activities to do in the galleries
- Borrow crayons, coloured pencils and pads to create your own pictures as you visit
- Handle objects from the Museum collection
- Listen to the family audio tour to join Vid the alien for a Martian's view of the British Museum.
For more information about visiting with children
There is a full programme of regular and special events for families and children.
