Facilities for people with learning disabilities
Touch tours
There are touch tours for the Egyptian Sculpture Gallery (Room
4) and for the Parthenon Sculptures (Room 18). Please ask at the
Information Desk for further details.
Accompanied visit
A volunteer can be requested to accompany visitors around the
Museum. For this service please contact the Access Manager at least
two weeks in advance of your visit.
Inclusive design for temporary exhibitions
All our temporary exhibitions have large print
information and, where possible, tactile images. Please ask the
Information Desk or the Access Manager for further information.
For paying exhibitions, concessions are available for disabled
visitors. A companion ticket is also provided free of charge.

Handling sessions
We can arrange handling sessions, involving original objects and
replicas, for people with learning disabilities. Please contact the
Access Manager with at least six weeks notice.
