Facilities for hearing impaired visitors
Sign interpreted events
There is a signed event programmed once a month, this is either
a gallery talk or an eyeOpener tour, given by a member of Museum
staff or a visiting lecturer.
If a group has a particular interest in an
area of the Museum's collection we will endeavour (though cannot
guarantee) to arrange for a private talk with an interpreter.
Please contact the Access Manager with at least six weeks
notice.
We can also arrange sign interpretation for
specific events and study days. This should be requested at the
time of booking and at least six weeks in advance.
Induction loops
Induction loops operate in the Clore Centre and the Information
Desk. Portable induction loops are also available for most
eyeOpener tours.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome. Dog bowls are available from the
Information Desk.
Temporary exhibitions
For paying exhibitions, concessions are
available for disabled visitors. A companion ticket is also
provided free of charge. Please contact the Information Desk.
