Leave a legacy
Leave the world a lasting gift
We are indebted to the many individuals who
have already left a gift in their Will, enabling us to carry on our
work of inspiring present and future generations and enriching the
collection.

As a non-profit organisation, the Museum
relies on a variety of funding sources to support and develop the
enormous collection and fulfil its many commitments.
A legacy is a way of acknowledging the
pleasure that the Museum has given you and many other
visitors. Your gift ensures that we continue to connect the people
of the past with the generations of the future.
There are many ways you can give to the Museum
that will have a major and positive lasting effect:
- A pecuniary gift: this is a fixed sum of
money decided by you
- A residuary gift: this is the amount of the
whole or portion of your estate after other legacies, inheritance
tax and expenses have been paid
- A specific gift: this is a bequest of
specific personal possessions such as property, works of art or
antiquities, stocks and shares.
We are very happy to discuss how your gift
would benefit our existing collections and future plans.
