War was part of the lives of many people in ancient Asia, as different tribes and kingdoms struggled for power. Early weapons used in the East were deadly and clever. Armour could be beautifully crafted and very strong. China is famous for inventing gunpowder, but in fact this was not used for guns, but for mining.
A number of weapons were made to show off the wealth or religion of their owner, but were not meant to actually be used.
