Strong dagger
From: the island of Ithaca, Greece
Date: 1300-1100 BC
Archaeologists have found many broken weapons in the graves of warriors. Their swords and daggers had a tendency to break off in battle because the handle and blade were made in two parts.
This dagger has an unusually shaped handle and was made in one piece, so it is much stronger. It probably came from the island of Ithaca, which was the home of the legendary hero Odysseus.
