Tools and technology in Ancient Egypt
Most Egyptians were farmers. Women helped in the fields but also cooked and did the housework. Children were expected to help their parents - only a few boys went to school.
Many Egyptians were skilled craftworkerssmen, making beautiful jewellery and delicate objects for tombs. Superb workersmen and engineers built huge pyramids with very simple tools.
