Daggers
From: Senegal and the Reguibat Arabs
Date: 19th - 20th century AD
The arrival of guns in Africa meant that daggers and other weapons were used more for display than fighting with. These four daggers would have been used in ceremonies.
On the far left is a dagger of the Manding peoples. The two smaller daggers in the centre are from Sierra Leone and Senegal, while the larger one to the right is a kind used by the Reguibat Arabs of southern Morocco.
