Antony Gormley,
Part, a pen and ink
drawing, with a black and grey wash
England, AD 1994
This drawing belong to a series from the first
half of the 1990s known as Body and
Light in which the black pigment is dispersed
in water, in keeping with the artist's interest in
exploring fluidity, depth and movement through different elements.
Most were made in the Lake District at a house on Coniston Water
which the Gormleys have visited regularly since
1984.
