This
lucky amulet is made in the shape of a 100
mon coin of Japan. The
inscription on the front is the same as on the original coin, and
reads 'Tem po tsu ho'. 'Tempo'
refers to the Tempō era in Japan, and 'tsūho' means
'circulating treasure' or
'coin'.
Pictured
on the back of this amulet is a fox, an animal regarded as having
special powers in Japan. The letters F S M stand for Fox Spirit
Magic.
