High-fired pottery with ash glaze
This elaborate ritual tomb jar has an unusually high pierced stand, and models of birds, deer, dogs and a boar attached at the shoulder. It has a particularly well-developed patterning of cord marks and incised bands. It was excavated at Kotani village in Kozuke Province.
