Badges
Badges
People wear badges mainly because they are a cheap and easy way
to show the world what they believe in. Instead of going about
streets shouting 'I love the Pussycat Dolls!', they can wear a
Pussycat Dolls badge. Nearly everyone has owned a badge at some
point in their lives.
Badges can be more serious than about pop groups, though. The
very first badges were made for the Pope in the 12th century. They
had St Peter and St Paul on them, and were worn by pilgrims to show
that they had completed a religious journey.
