Wooden duck
At a traditional Korean wedding, it was a customary part of the festivities for the bridegroom to offer a live goose to his new mother-in-law, as a symbol of his faithfulness to his new wife. The bride’s mother would then feed freshly cooked noodles to the goose. In traditional Korean symbolism, noodles represent a long life, so this would be seen as a blessing and of her approval of the marriage.
