To build relationships with institutions and individuals in Sri Lanka and support capacity-building through an internship and the partnerships in Sri Lanka.
The project has been devised in response to a request for the Royal Asiatic Society Sri Lanka (RASSL). The British Council are project partners and a programme of events will accompany the exhibition.
The British Library will also work with staff at the National Archives and local academics, one of whom will be invited as an intern to the UK to help with the project.
There will be an accompanying exhibition leaflet and labels in English, Sinhalese and Tamil.
