Sir George Iacobescu CBE

George Iacobescu was appointed to the British Museum board in July 2007 and reappointed for a second four year term in July 2011.

A Romanian born graduate in civil and industrial engineering, George Iacobescu has been Chief Executive Officer of Canary Wharf Group (CWG) since 1997. He is a Co-Chairman of Teach First, Director of London First, Director of Gateway to London and is on the Advisory Board of the UK Academy of Finance. He is a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute.
