The Marketing Executive is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring marketing plans for all the British Museum's image marketing initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Head of British Museum Images, you will need to contribute to developing marketing plans and strategies for the image licensing department. Conduct market research where necessary, manage production of marketing material, including writing and proofreading copies, liaising with designers and printers (ads, portfolios, brochures).
You will also be required to plan, implement and monitor marketing campaigns, organise annual client events and source advertising opportunities.
In this role, you will be expected to keep abreast of trends and work with the Collections Manager to identify relevant content for newsletters and the website, as well as identify relevant collections and agree on content editing schedules.
Additionally, you will need to manage PR and social media accounts, regularly update features, news and relevant categories on the website and keep abreast of trends.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in marketing planning and managing marketing campaigns.
- Copywriting and editing in a marketing context.
- Experience of using social media in a business context.
- BA degree or above.
