What just happened?

To celebrate Vikings Live, we have replaced our Roman alphabet with the runic alphabet used by the Vikings, the Scandinavian ‘Younger Futhark’. The ‘Younger Futhark’ has only 16 letters, so we have used some of the runic letters more than once or combined two runes for one Roman letter.

For an excellent introduction to runes, we recommend Martin Findell’s book published by British Museum Press.

The British Museum Company is looking to recruit an e-Commerce Marketing Executive who will be responsible for all online marketing activities within the e-Commerce team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with online marketing experience looking for more responsibility and new challenges.

You must have good knowledge of online marketing techniques and experience with email, social media, paid search and affiliates. You will be expected to be a lead on all integrated marketing campaigns and PR campaigns.

Working as the e-Commerce Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Planning, development and analysis for all campaign plans (email, ppc, social & affiliates)
  • Administration, maintenance and reporting
  • Keeping up to date with the latest techniques and practices
