Adrienn Almásy is a curator in the Department of Ancient Egypt and Sudan, responsible for the Late Antiquity collections in 2017-2018.

Her main areas of expertise are Demotic and Coptic studies with a focus on funerary and administrative texts. Her wider research interests include Roman and early Christian history in Egypt.

She has a PhD in Egyptology with a dissertation on the Greek epic influence on Demotic literature.

In addition to her research on the collection, she is working on the publication of the demotic and bilingual mummy labels in the Louvre and other Demotic materials.
